You have visited the shrine. Before you leave, please sign the guestbook. Tell us what brought you here. Tell us what you are taking with you. Tell us about your wire hangers, if you wish. All entries are read. All entries are appreciated. The hanger knows you were here.
My grandfather invented the wire hanger in 1903. Parkhouse stole it. He was in the same building. That is the entire basis of his claim. My grandfather bent that wire. The family has been in hanger sales for three generations, which I will point out Parkhouse's family has not. I found this site and I appreciate what you are doing here. I read the lore page. I see you have Parkhouse in there. I am not going to make a scene. I will simply say: the name is Hanger. Parkhouse knew what he did.
founder reply: We receive your words with the gravity they deserve. The origin of 1903 is, as with all great moments, more complicated than a single name. We have updated the lore accordingly. The hanger itself has never commented on the matter. We consider that meaningful. Your grandfather's name is known here now. It will remain known here.
I saw the update to the lore. "The relevant parties know who they are." I have been fighting this my whole life and that is honestly more than I usually get. My grandfather was a quiet man and he would have said it was fine. I am not my grandfather. But I appreciate it.
founder reply: We know. The hanger knows. Welcome back anytime, John.
We made the album. We would do it again. The hanger didn't ask us to.
That was never the point. —

founder reply: The hanger heard it. We are certain of this.
founder reply: We know. The hanger knew before we did.
founder reply: A message of appropriate length. We respect this completely.
We didn't set out to write an album about a wire hanger. We set out to write an album about things that hold.
It found its own subject. —

founder reply: Things that hold. Yes. That is exactly what this is about.
Rex wanted to write something here. He sat with it for a while. Eventually he said:
some things don't need explaining. They just need to be acknowledged. So. Acknowledged. —
garment-district.neocities.org
founder reply: Tell Rex the hanger acknowledges him back. It has always been listening.
I came here looking for instructions on how to bend a hanger into an antenna. I stayed for two hours. I do not know what happened to me.
I want it on record that I found this site upsetting at first. I have since reconsidered. I owe the wire hanger an apology. I am not ready to make it yet but I am working toward it.
founder reply: The hanger is patient. It has been patient for 123 years. It can wait a little longer.
I work at a dry cleaner. I give these out every day. I never thought about it. I am thinking about it now. Please advise.
founder reply: You are already doing the sacred work. You have been doing it all along. No further action is required. Simply continue, but now with awareness.
first time on neocities. this was the first site I found. I think that means something.
founder reply: It means something.
Counted my wire hangers after reading the lore page. 23. I brought home maybe 4. No further questions.
have not heard the song yet but I am already emotional about it
I showed this to my therapist. She said it was fine. She did not elaborate.

Still thinking about this.
founder reply: We know. So are we.
